Before anything else, I prioritise supporting my clients to feel at ease. It is important you feel safe and connected with whoever your therapist is. This is at the core of how I work. It is only through a trusted therapeutic relationship that healing can happen. I offer a free initial 20-minute video consultation for anyone enquiring about therapy with me. This is a chance to hear a bit of background and for us both to get a sense of whether we are a good fit to work together. I mostly offer input remotely which has the benefit of being accessible from the comfort of clients’ own space. It overcomes geographical barriers, eliminating the need for travel time so clients can fit therapy around their busy schedules. Upon commencing input, I will work with you to gain some background to your difficulties and pull this together to begin to formulate and gain more clarity on where the focus might be for our work.
Most people choose to have either weekly or fortnightly appointments, but I also offer intensives where clinically appropriate which involves agreeing a chunk of time maybe a half or full day to work together to make shifts quicker. It can often mean less time is required overall and therefore reduced cost.
