Services

People come along to therapy with me for help to manage a range of emotional and physical difficulties. I specialise in trauma therapy, adjustment to physical health difficulties, adjustment to and rehabilitation from neurological conditions including functional neurological disorder.

I offer a range of therapy, supervision and consultation services.

Diagnostic Support

Receiving a diagnosis can feel overwhelming, not only for the person but also for the people who care about them. My Post-Diagnostic Support Package is designed to provide reassurance, clarity, and ongoing guidance during this important adjustment period.

I offer tailored, practical support to help clients and/or their families understand the diagnosis, navigate next steps, and develop confidence in managing day-to-day challenges. This package focuses on emotional support, education, coping strategies, and signposting to appropriate resources, ensuring no one feels alone after receiving life-changing news.

Conditions include but are not limited to: Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Tumour, Brain Injury, Epilepsy, Functional Neurological Disorder, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington's Disease and Chronic Fatigue.

Intensives

Intensives are....

An accelerated form of therapy where longer blocks of time are carved out often over consecutive days. This allows you to go deeper into the healing process in a shorter amount of time and get on with living the life you want sooner. A huge shift can occur in just a few days which may have taken months in standard therapy.

Therapy intensives allow you to...

  • Feel better faster

  • Go deeper

  • Focus in on a specific goal or concern

  • Save time (no weekly therapy for months with time each session checking in and reviewing the week)

  • Save money

  • Experience uninterrupted therapy time (not having to pause the healing process to do life in between)

  • Have the convenience of blocking out a chunk of time rather than fitting it in around work and home commitments each week

What do therapy intensives look like?
There are various formats these can take and I flex this round the individual’s diary (weekends are also an option) and needs but I generally offer intensives with the following structure:

  • Pre-intensive session (1-2 hours) (1-2 weeks prior to intensive): history taking and preparation

  • 3, 3-hour therapy sessions on consecutive days

  • Follow up session (1 hour) (3 weeks - 1 month later): reflections, consolidation and next steps

Intensives can be online or in person.

Clients also receive a tailored workbook as part of this.

Supervision

Supervision and Consultancy

I provide regular supervision and one-off case consultation to clinical psychologists, other health professionals and case managers working in neuro (including Functional Neurological Disorder), physical health settings and general adult mental health settings. As many professionals may not work exclusively with people with specific health conditions, I can offer a shorter supervision session, focussed on one client and this can be booked in as a one off or as needed.

Training

Training and Guest Speaker

I provide training/workshops for workplaces, care facilities and NHS teams on various topics including:

  • Trauma and trauma informed practice

  • Psychological and cognitive consequences of neurological conditions (e.g. brain injury, stroke, MS etc)

  • Functional Neurological Disorder (What is it? How to support/treat it etc)

  • Managing burnout.
